When you want to ask someone a favor or you want to insist that she does something for you, you can use a partial question. For example, Núria really wants her friends to have dinner at her place. They already told her that they couldn’t come and she asks, almost begging, why they don’t come.
Núria: Va... per què no veniu? (Come on…why don’t you come?)
