Reveal the word

To utter this sound it could be helpful to pretend to utter an a but trying to produce an o rounding the lips a little bit. In other words, with an [ɔ], the mouth is more opened, and the tongue is more centred than with the [o]. Therefore, if you are looking for the openness of a vowel like an “a” and you move the tongue backwards as if you were about to say an [o] it will be easier to utter.
