Confirmation Question

When you imagine something, but you are not totally sure you can make a question to confirm the facts. For example, Nuria know that her roommate Barbara always returns home at one o´clock and has lunch. One day Barbara comes home very late. Nuria sees that Barbara is in a hurry, and as she knows that she has missed her lunchtime, she asks if Barbara is hungry.

Núria: Que tens gana?

Now listen to the sentence as many times as you want and pay attention to the graphic. Watch (and listen) how the voice tone remains high till the last stressed syllable (ga-), then it lowers quickly. It remains low till the end of the sentence.

Practice.

Now pronounce the sentence with the same intonation. Imagine that it is 12 at night and you're talking to your roommate. You see that he is yawning and he closes his eyes. Ask, “Do you want to sleep? “Que tens son?”. After saying this, listen how it should be pronounced.

Now imagine that your brother, Jaume, has said to you this morning that he would come home for lunch. Now it is almost lunchtime and you call him to confirm it. Ask,“Are you having lunch at home?” “Que dinaràs a casa?” After saying the sentence, listen how it should be pronounced.
Now imagine that you are talking to your younger brother, who wants to have the driving license and some days he takes classes. You see him in the evening and you ask, “Have you taken the clases? “Que has fet pràctiques, avui?”
