When you don’t understand a part of what someone said, or when you don’t remember something you were told, you can use a wh-question and ask for the person to repeat what she said. For exemple, Mireia is pregnant and she tells Núria when the baby is due. After a few minutes, Núria doesn’t remember when the baby is due.
Núria: Quan m’havies dit que ha de néixer? (When did you tell me your baby is due?
Listen again to the sentence you just heard. Listen to the Melody of the sentence. The Voice tone is low at the last stressed syllable (néi-) and then it rises at the last syllable (-xer).
Now, imagine that Núria and Mireia are talking about their holidays. Mireia already told Núria where she will travel during the summer, but Núria has forgotten and asks her where she said she will go. Listen and watch the exemple.
